CICLO is an international lyrical singing contest promoted by the Associação de Cultura Musical de Lousada (ACML), which aims, in the medium and long term, to establish itself as the largest singing contest in Portugal.

 

The strategy outlined to achieve this objective is based on four pillars:

- the mobilization of the necessary human and material resources within the ACML universe;

- the constitution of a jury with personalities of recognized national and international merit on opera and lyrical singing;

- the definition of prizes with a monetary component and an artistic component similar to all international singing competitions held in Europe;

- the formalization of partnerships with local, regional and national entities, which allow the CYCLE to be held with great artistic and logistical quality.

 

Obviously, CICLO will have national and international dissemination, being able to receive candidates from all over the world, but it has special expectations in relation to national and European competitors.

 

In addition to the competition itself, lectures, masterclasses and other events will also be promoted during the CICLO, due to the artistic interest of the people who are part of the jury, to be held on the days destined for the respective final phase of the competition (01 to 07 of July 2024).
